Cousins Rick Alicia (aka the Bear) and Chris Guerra grew up learning Tejano, blues, country, and Motown music amidst a tremendously talented family.
After many successful bands, they went their separate ways to California. Rick played his way through the funky, gritty venues in Las Vegas, San Diego, and LA, while Chris was in the same cities playing concerts and commercial venues.
After they returned home, they put together The Bear Band.
Recently added veterans Mike Skory (keys) and John Large (congas/vocals), plus talented guitarist Steve Frarey, were added for a fabulous night of Santana and Allman Brothers’ favorites.
