Duke Charelle is a genre-blending artist with roots in Parliament-Funkadelic, creating music that fuses R&B, rock, and psychedelic sounds. Growing up in a musical family, Deondre began with classical clarinet at age 8 before transitioning to guitar and songwriting in high school, inspired by jazz, Eric Clapton, and funk legends.
After discovering his family ties to Parliament-Funkadelic, he performed alongside them, honing his craft and pushing musical boundaries. His debut album, Beyond the Magic Mirror (Sony AMG Toronto), features collaborations with industry icons like Prince’s drummer Dean Ragland. With chart-topping singles and awards like the Akedemia Music Award for Best Funk Song, Duke Charelle’s music reflects life’s essence with a psychedelic edge, inspiring listeners worldwide.
